Welcome to LatHacks- The first virtual Latymer house event! The aim of this hackathon is simple, design an app, piece of code or a prototype in accordance to our themes: productivity, social good and Covid-19. You can stick to our themes as little or as much as you want, but this will be taken into account in the final judging. Good luck!

Eligibility

Participants: All years, either as individuals or as teams up to 5 from each house. MUST be from The Latymer School

Requirements

-A short, maximum two-minute video, explaining the design concept and giving an overview of what you've created in this space of 48hrs

-A repository of your code, preferably on GitHub, if you've used anything

Judging Criteria

  • Adherence to theme
    -How much you've adhered to the themes of the hackathon
  • Technical complexity
    -the breadth and depth of technical knowledge and skills required to complete your project
  • Stretching yourself
    -whether you've learnt anything new whilst doing the project and how you've utilised it
  • Ingenuity
    -how original the idea is and whether its been done before
